This 16″ rifle is chambered for 5.56 NATO, 7.62×39 or 300AAC. The 1:8 twist will ensure your favorite bullets are properly stabilized. Both the barrel and M16-cut bolt carrier group have a case Hardened 8620 Steel Nitride Coated, M4/AR-15 Compatible, Mil-Spec/MP Tested. The high-quality bolt carrier group has been high-pressure tested and magnetic particle inspected so you can be 100% assured of no material defects. This complete rifle has been topped off with either a 12″ IRS Quad Rail, or 12″ Keymod Rail, improving airflow and allowing for improved accuracy, as well as a lightweight modular platform for accessories.

I am new to the MSR platform and as such I did not want to buy something out of the box that had a ton of bells and whistles with some big name stamped on the lower just to make myself feel like I’m in the ‘club.’ Additionally, I did not want to get into the game of attempting to build one, only to find out that I missed this, or did not really need that. Instead, I opted for a basic rifle assembled with quality parts by folks that have served in our armed forces and actually know what they are doing.
I couldn’t be happier. I’ve been able to take it to the range a couple of time now, with two different optics. Each visit I sent about 100 rounds through and it is zero’d in very nicely. The groups are tight and the rifle has performed flawlessly. Two of my boys have also shot with it and they are also extremely satisfied with the performance.
The value together with the CBC warranty and the very accommodating staff, and I’ll be back for another CBC Industries build.
